Web Chat

Faelith Chat in the browser, synced with your dashboard account.

Chat in the dashboard is the same Faelith Chat that ships in the desktop app, served from the website with your signed-in session.

What is shared#

  • The same models, thinking levels and tools (web search and page fetch; no repository tools).
  • The same transcript features: streaming with reasoning rows, tool rows, code blocks with copy, attachments, temporary chats and forking.
  • The same Chat meters. A web conversation debits your Chat 5-hour and weekly meters exactly like the app, and the line under the composer shows both.

How it authenticates#

Signing in to the website is enough. Behind the scenes the site mints a chat-purpose key for your account on first use and stores it encrypted; you never see or manage it, and revoking it under API Keys simply causes a new one to be minted next time.

Threads#

Threads are stored on the server, so a conversation started in the browser is available from any signed-in browser. Desktop threads remain on the device that created them.

Right-click a thread to Fork or Delete. Temporary chats are removed when you leave them and never appear in the list.
